Paul Connolly, a co-owner of sanding and refinishing machine shop McEllin Company Inc. (Waltham, Mass.) since 2008, passed away Oct. 7 in Florida at the age of 73.
Connolly started working for McEllin Company in 1989. He was a dedicated employee, and eventually bought the company with Ed Cox, a coworker, in 2008.
McEllin was a good, honest man who could be taken at his word, Cox said.
“He had that old-school mentality that if the job needed to get done, it got done,” Cox said.
Connolly took pride in selling and repairing sanding machines for his customers.
“These are regular hardworking guys who take pride in what they do, and he felt a responsibility to make sure they had the best products so they could get out and do a good job,” Cox said.
