Bona US (Aurora, Colo.) received ISO 14001 Certification by Bureau Veritas at its production facilities in Pueblo, Colo., and Monroe, N.C.
ISO 14001 is an environmental management system that provides a framework to assure environmental impact is being measured and improved during manufacturing.
“This certification is one way of demonstrating our continued commitment to premium products that are also environmentally safe,” said Richard Goering, VP of sales and operations, in a statement. “Not only do we take into account the composition of our products and the affect they may have on our environment and our customers, but we continually evaluate and innovate the development and process of how we make each product.”
Bona manufacturing facilities in Malmo, Sweden, and Limburg, Germany, earned the certification in 2001.
