City Floor Supply Family Mourns the Passing of Father Ed Glavin

Joe, Mary and Mike Glavin, founders of Philadelphia Floor Store, now City Floor Supply, are mourning the loss of their father and business mentor, Ed Glavin, who passed away Jan. 30.

Ed Glavin was present the day the company opened and never left, the family wrote in a blog post. He used his background as a long-time machinist for the Westinghouse Corporation to build a one-of-a-kind repair center at The Philadelphia Floor Store, the family wrote.

“He loved our customers, our vendors and our team,” the family wrote. “He was our biggest fan, and he savored the fact that his children were living the American dream.”
