The Hardwood Federation elected Tommy Maxwell, president and CEO of Maxwell Hardwood Flooring (Monticello, Ark.), as chairman of board for the organization’s public action committee.
As chair, Maxwell will help the Federation identify federal office holders and candidates who support the hardwood industry on issues that impacts its economic viability. He will also develop fundraising strategies to help these members during their campaigns.
“Tommy has been a longtime supporter of the Federation,” said Dana Lee Cole, executive director of the Hardwood Federation, in a statement. “He has tremendous enthusiasm and passion for the industry, and this translates into his efforts to educate members of Congress about our issues, recruit new participants, and raise dollars to support our operations and our political activities.”
Maxwell is also the vice chairman of the board of directors for the National Wood Flooring Association.
