Watch: Fire at Coatings Manufacturer’s Facility in the Netherlands

A fire at Overmat Industries’ coatings manufacturing facility in Waspik, Netherlands, on March 26 destroyed a large portion of the company’s inventory, according to Omroep Brabant, a local news company.

Smoke billowed into the sky and could be seen for miles, OB reported. Firefighters managed to contain the fire before it spread to nearby businesses, including a flooring company called 100% Floors. Residents in the area were told to stay inside and keep their windows and doors shut during the incident.

The company remains operational and expects to resume deliveries this week.
