“Robust growth in Sweden, the U.S. and in several of the European markets offset the weaker trend in Russia and Finland, as well as for the Group’s resilient flooring,” said Christer Persson, president and CEO, in the company’s full financial statement.
Hardwood flooring accounted for 88 percent of Kährs’ first quarter net sales. Forty-seven percent of the hardwood flooring was sold in the Nordic region, 26 percent was sold in Europe and 20 percent was sold in other markets, including the United States. Kährs’ global resilient sales made up 7 percent of all sales.
