Timbergreen Farms, which harvests, mills and manufacturers wood products, including flooring, from its property in Spring Green, Wis., will host five all-day tours on Nov. 1, 2, 6 and 7, and Dec. 10.
The tours will show how the family business, owned by Jim Birkemeier, controls its timber by harvesting only the dead and dying trees. Participants will work hands-on in the forest as part of the tour.
The tour also consists of education aimed at teaching how to market wood products on the internet and through social media.
