Derr Flooring (Willow Grove, Pa.) selected two students to receive the company’s annual scholastic achievement award.
The award, now in its 50th year, is offered to children and grandchildren of Derr employees who are pursuing secondary education.
The recipients are Rocco Defelice, an engineering major at the University of Maryland, and Marissa Strine, who will be an elementary education major at Millersville University.
To date, the Derr family has provided about $117,000 to students through its scholastic achievement award.
