A flooring contractor training event held by Vermont Natural Coatings (Hardwick, Vt.) and Norton Abrasives (Watervliet, N.Y.) resulted in an updated gym floor for Hardwick Elementary School that was unveiled to the public on Oct. 28.
Nine contractors spent a week refinishing and repainting the game lines in the 50-year-old space, which had not been updated in two decades. The instructors were Bob Goldstein from Vermont Natural Coatings and Greg Mihaich from Norton Abrasives.
“What great feelings of pride and gratitude I have for all of these talented professionals who came here to help us refresh and renew this gym,” said Andrew Meyer, president of Vermont Natural Coatings, in a statement.
