William ‘Jop’ Jopling, Respected Industry Veteran, Passes Away at 64

William Jopling

William ‘Jop’ Jopling, a wood flooring industry veteran who founded and led a number of companies, passed away suddenly Nov. 1 at the age of 64.

Jopling began his wood industry career logging with horses in Vermont. He was a pioneer of the global hardwood flooring trade and set up factories all over the world. He was also a champion of sustainable flooring practices.

He founded Wood Flooring International, Brandywine International Hardwood LLC and TW Flooring.

A celebration of Jopling’s life will be held today at Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heifer International.
