AkzoNobel Wood Coatings Ltd. (High Point, N.C.) named “Denim Drift” its AkzoNobel Color of the Year and identified five major lifestyle trends for 2017.
“These lifestyles trends influence many designs," said Rob Haley, who leads AkzoNobel color trends efforts for wood, in a statement. “Our job is to help our customers translate these lifestyles into concrete colors, techniques and wood finishing processes. Denim Drift can be a key accent to enhance the new trends derived from these inspirations.”
AzkoNobel also identified five lifestyle trends for 2017, dubbed: Past Perfect, which pays tribute to heritage, refinement and romance; Crafted, an homage to hewn, textured and handmade items; Infusion, modern and minimally opulent with a mix of retro; Sanctuary, cottage design with spa-inspired colors; and Urbanology, functional, purpose-driven spaces with cosmopolitan looks.
