The United States’ hardwood exports to China increased 19 percent to $1.08 billion between January and August 2016, according to Fordaq.
China’s share of global U.S. hardwood exports during the first eight months was 46 percent, the report said.
The exports consisted of $785 million in hardwood sawnwood and $263 million in hardwood logs, and red oak accounted for 40 percent of all hardwood exports, according to Fordaq.
