Recent flooding in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., caused the gym court inside the Central Michigan University’s Student Activity Center to buckle, according to ABC 12.
"It only is a couple inches here in this building, but the wood soaks up the water pretty quickly, and once that occurs, the wood will start buckling, as you can see behind us," Jonathan Webb, associate vice president of facilities management, told ABC 12.
Around 50 buildings on campus were impacted by flooding, and the repair bill is estimated between $7–$10 million.
