Havwoods International (Carnforth, United Kingdom) opened its first U.S. showroom in the Flatiron District of Manhattan in New York City.
The showroom features long presentation tables with a selection of wood samples set flush within black steel frames. Display drawers beneath house Havwoods’ selection of styles and finishes, and a space at the end of one table has controlled lights to imitate how the products look under various interior lighting scenarios. The space was designed by London-based firm Brinkworth.
“Brinkworth spent time understanding our requirements and then used their expertise to design a space which works better than we could have imagined,” said Allan Singh, general manager of Havwoods North American head office, in a statement.
The New York showroom comes a year after the company established a flooring distribution center in Maryland.
