Gilford-Johnson Flooring (Jefferson, Ind.) acquired Opa Locka, Fla.-based Mastercraft Flooring Distributors.
"Mastercraft is the perfect partner for Gilford-Johnson," Scott Roy, president and CEO of Gilford-Johnson Flooring, said in a statement. "While in the same industry, Mastercraft fills out our southeastern reach with a full, complementary range of products and services in the state of Florida. In addition, we are optimistic about expanding the Mastercraft territory into international markets beyond the state of Florida."
This is the first acquisition made since Gilford Flooring, through its majority shareholder Blue Equity, purchased Atlanta-based Johnson Wholesale Floors and became Gilford-Johnson Flooring in January 2016.
Gilford-Johnson plans to expand the business with further acquisitions, partners and product lines in the future to become one of the leading distributors in the country, the company said in a statement.
