The Institute for Floor Covering inspectors (IFCII) has opened registration for an Expert Witness Class. The online class covers how to prepare for a deposition or court appearance regarding an inspection performed. The cost is $250 for non-IFCII members. Registration information can be found here.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Agriculture Improvement Act, also known as the Farm Bill, by a vote of 368 to 47 on Dec. 12. The Hardwood Federation has been advocating for the bill, which it states will have a positive impact on hardwood industry assets such as the Timber Innovation Act, the Community Wood Energy Program, forest management reform, and more. Having already been passed by the Senate, the bill now goes to the Oval Office for final approval.
