Hardwood Flooring Imports From Vietnam Surge 265%

U.S. hardwood flooring imports dropped 3% in September, ITTO reported. Compared with September 2020, U.S. hardwood flooring imports increased 35%.

Sharp hardwood flooring import declines from Indonesia, Malaysia and China were balanced out by a 265% surge in imports from Vietnam, according to the report.

Engineered wood flooring imports declined 16%, bringing six months of continuous increases to an end. Engineered wood flooring imports from Canada and Indonesia grew by 25%, while imports from China, Vietnam and Thailand dropped 35%.
