U.S. Imports of Hardwood Flooring Fell 6% in September

Hardwood flooring imports in the U.S. declined 6% in September, ITTO reported.

Hardwood flooring imports from Brazil and Malaysia dropped 47% and 23%, respectively, but overall hardwood flooring imports were buoyed by a 92% gain in imports from China. Hardwood flooring imports from Indonesia rose 6%.

U.S. engineered wood flooring imports fell 12% in September, with declines from Vietnam (36%) and China (27%). Engineered wood flooring imports from Thailand rose 83%.
