Horizon Forest Products (Raleigh, N.C.) hired Oscar Velasquez as the Houston branch’s operations manager and Christopher Williams as branch manager in Raleigh, N.C.
Velasquez has a background in operations and warehouse management in the gas and oil industry.
“I could tell from the start that he was curious about this position and not just looking for a job,” said Alan Blake, branch manager, in a statement. “He asked good questions and tossed out scenario questions, which he still does now.”
Williams is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities and improving productivity in Raleigh. He was previously the branch manager at Horizon’s Norfolk, N.C., facility for eight years.
“We have been impressed with not only his business growth within the company, but also his leadership growth,” said Vice President David Williams in a statement. “We are continually working to make sure our people are growing to the next level, and Chris has done so with excellence.”
