An Ohio roller rink and family fun center is suing a contractor for allegedly failing to reroute a roof drain that damaged 7,900 square feet of newly installed maple floors, the Adviser-Tribute reports.
The Rolling Thunder Skating and Family Fun Center hired Finchum Sports Floors to install and finish the maple flooring for its skating rink. Finchum completed the floors Dec. 13, after which RDS Contractors LLC “neglected to close or ‘re-route’ a roof drain at the Rolling Thunder premises,” the lawsuit states. A rainstorm occurred the Dec. 14, and the floors were damaged, the report states.
Repairing the flooring would cost $101,600, according to the suit. Rolling Thunder is seeking more than $186,600 from RDS Contractors.
