A survey of more than 5,000 homeowners found that 55% plan to begin or continue home improvement projects this winter.
The survey, conducted by Modernize, a home improvement lead-generation site, also found that 48% of homeowners plan to spend between $1,000 and $10,000 on renovation projects, and that 39% plan to pay with cash.
“Enthusiasm for home renovation projects appears higher than usual as winter approaches,” Modernize analyst Cassie Morien said in a statement. “With many avoiding travel during the pandemic, consumers may shift funds away from plane tickets and hotels and into improving their homes for comfort and energy-efficiency.”
