Value of U.S. Hardwood Flooring Imports Falls 17% in April

The value of U.S. hardwood flooring imports declined 17% in April, ITTO reported.

The decline follows a 32% surge in March. Year-over-year, April hardwood flooring imports increased 30%.

April imports of hardwood flooring from Brazil declined 17% but grew 168% compared with April 2020. Imports from China plunged 46% month-over-month and declined 29% compared with April 2020.

Imports of engineered wood flooring rose 9% compared with March, increasing 65% from China, 58% from Thailand and 24% from Indonesia.
