Anyone who has buffed a lot of square footage of wood flooring in one day (like a big gym, for example) knows that being pressed against the buffer handle for endless hours can be uncomfortable for your body. Some guys hang a folded towel over the top of the buffer handle to try to cushion it, but that can be cumbersome.
Depending on the design of your buffer, one easy way to minimize the discomfort is to slice one side of a piece of foam pipe insulation, insert it over the handle (making sure it doesn’t cover the trigger) and secure it with some blue tape. It costs almost nothing, and its shape helps it stay put.
