Matthew Elsasser of Orangeville, Ill.-based Hogback Hardwoods Inc. had a job with a memorable (read: scary) visitor: "I was working on a job that was a flip house. It was like a $300K flip house, which is pretty good in our rural area. A realtor friend of mine had bought it from a guy who won the lotto and had gotten himself in loads of trouble and wanted to skip town. So we were there on a refinish and I went out to the trailer to get some supplies. A big burly dude rolled up in an unmarked car, looking like Lou Ferrigno in his daughter's T-shirt, with freaking arms the size of my thigh, a gun on his hip, no badge, no patches or anything to identify himself. He briskly walked up to me, covered all of a piece of paper except for the name of the old homeowner, and said, 'Is he here?!' Sounding like the most calm and cool second soprano in the children's choir, I told him 'No.' He asked where he could find him. I said, 'Hey man, I don't know a thing, a guy we know bought it from him and he's long gone.' He sighed, headed back to the car and said, 'Here we go…' I don't know if bounty hunters are still a thing, but if they are, I'd sure hate to be the lotto winner when that guy finds him."
