The area of Spiere-Helkijn, Belgium, is beginning to see more patterned flooring trends, with herringbone and chevron floors growing in popularity over the past five years, says Thomas De Coninck of Parquet Supplies. The typical style in the region had been wide European oak plank flooring. “I jumped on the trend wave of herringbone to promote the mosaic pattern,” De Coninck says. “But the trend will be blocked a little bit by lack of budget.”
