It can be tricky to cut around J beads, and if you try to cut the J bead, it can vibrate, making it hard to cut—sometimes the blade can catch and pull the whole J bead off. Here's an easy tip to get a perfectly clean cut when undercutting a J bead: Cut a notch the same shape of the J bead into a piece of flooring and use that to keep your saw from vibrating as you cut. To be precise, shave the bottom of the flooring piece about 1⁄16 inch to allow for blade thickness.
