The NWFA is seeking nominations for its Community Service Award, which is given each year during its Wood Flooring Expo.
Companies that have donated time or materials to individuals, groups or organizations in need are eligible. Volunteerism of past winners includes restoring flooring in historic buildings in their communities, donating materials to provide housing for families in need, refinishing the gym floors at a local private school which then used the money saved to provide a scholarship for a student in need, providing materials to makeover rooms for chronically ill bed-ridden children, and providing materials and labor to rebuild homes for families devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
