The International Standards and Training Alliance (INSTALL) Floorcovering Professionals will hold a free "Blueprint to Green Flooring Webinar" Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.
This course covers the basics of green floor covering removal, disposal and installation guidelines for flooring materials, such as carpet, vinyl composite tile, synthetic turf, linoleum, hardwood and bamboo. Renewable sources of flooring and sustainability factors with their effects on the lifecycle process will be discussed as well as proper maintenance procedures for extending the life of flooring products, manufacturer's warranties, levels of LEED certification and the importance of selecting low VOC adhesives.
