HF Briefs: Companies Release CARB Statements, Armstrong Elite

After the “60 Minutes” report alleged Lumber Liquidators’ Chinese-made laminate flooring did not comply with California Air Resource Board Phase 2 standards, some wood flooring manufacturers are issuing statements to reassure customers their products are, in fact, compliant with CARB Phase 2. Statements have been issued by Mirage (Saint-Georges, Quebec), Mullican Flooring (Johnson City, Tenn.) and Nydree Flooring (Forest, Va.).

Armstrong World Industries (Lancaster, Pa.) named The Floor Store’s location in San Francisco to its Elite Retailer program, the sixth Floor Store location to receive the distinction. Elite Retailer stores are given the broadest selection of Armstrong flooring to display.
