Chet Derr Jr. Celebrates 50th Year With Derr Flooring Co.

Chet Derr Jr. celebrated his 50th year with Derr Flooring Company at an event in Pennsylvania. Family-owned distributor Derr Flooring Co. (Willow Grove, Pa.) recently added its fourth employee to the 50 Year Club: company president and CEO Chet Derr Jr.

The company held a dinner for Derr Jr. in May at the Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club in Fort Washington, Pa. Around 125 employees, customers, suppliers, family and friends attended.

Derr Jr. is the fourth company employee to reach the 50-year milestone. He joins Joseph Hughes and company founder John Derr, as well as Chester Derr Sr., the company’s only employee to reach 60 years.
