U of Denver Basketball Court Warped From Flooding in June

The University of Denver is without a basketball court after a torrential thunderstorm in June flooded the Ritchie Center and, judging by the photo of the court published alongside The Denver Post's article, severely warped the wood floor.

The court was recently removed, and now construction workers are waiting for the concrete below the court to be completely dry before starting to install a new floor.

During the June 24 storm, fallen tree debris clogged drains around campus, and water began pooling on a loading dock at the Ritchie Center until the weight was too great for the sliding door leading into the building to hold it back.

The cost of the damage is still unknown.
