All five basketball courts used for this month’s EuroBasket 2015, the NBA finals of Europe, were made by Connor Sports (Elk Grove, Ill.).
This is the first time the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has chosen a multi-city host model for EuroBasket, and the organization sought Connor Sports to design courts that would be consistent between each host city.
“It is our duty to offer elements that somehow unify a tournament which is played in four different corners of Europe and we believe that the Connor Sports basketball courts achieve just that,” said FIBA Executive Director-Europe Kamil Novak in a statement.
The company built courts in Berlin, Germany; Zagreb, Croatia; Riga, Latvia; Montpellier, France; and Lille, France. Here's a video of the Berlin installation.
