Mannington Mills turns 100 this year, and its owners, members of the Campbell Family Assembly, donated $10,000 to the Olive Street Community Garden in the company’s hometown of Salem, N.J., to celebrate the occasion.
The Olive Street Community Garden engages local youth and provides fresh food to families of the children and teenagers who participate. It is the embodiment of exactly the sort of values at Mannington, said Carolyn Brown, chair of the Family Council, which directs the Family Assembly, in a statement.
"These values include helping the environment, being kind to others and doing the right thing,” she said. “I think it's critical we support this effort, and to everyone involved, we say congratulations for a job well done."
