Net sales in 2015 increased 3.8 percent to $8.1 billion from 2014’s $7.8 billion in net sales.
In the fourth quarter of 2015, Mohawk reported a profit of $210 million, excluding restructuring, acquisition and other charges; a 25.7 percent increase from the same period in 2014.
Mohawk’s Flooring North America segment, which includes all floor coverings sold in North America except ceramic, reported net sales of $3.6 billion in 2015 compared with $3.4 billion in 2014. The Rest-of-World segment reported net sales of 1.4 million in 2015 compared with 1.3 million in 2014. The Global Ceramic segment recorded net sales of $3.012 billion in 2015 compared with $3.015 billion in 2014.
“2015 was the best year in Mohawk's history, and we expect the momentum to continue this year,” said Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lorberbaum in a statement.
