The report, “Foreign Competition in the U.S. Building Products Industry,” analyzes import levels and growth rates of the top exporters to the U.S. in more than 20 product categories, including wood flooring, wood veneers and engineered wood products.
The U.S. imported $405 million in wood flooring from China in 2015, accounting for 57.2 percent of all wood flooring imports, the report said. The United States’ second largest exporter, Canada, exported $109 million in wood flooring to the U.S. in 2015.
