Mohawk Industries (Dallas) named Gary Lanser president of its laminate and wood business.
Lanser will lead the sales and operations of the laminate and wood business, which includes the distribution of Quick-Step and Columbia brands. He will also be responsible for driving innovation in these brands and the Pergo brand, as well as completing the construction and start-up of Mohawk's new engineered wood and laminate plants.
Lanser joined Mohawk in 2009. He has led the Flooring North America division's supply chain, customer experience, logistics and carpet cushion manufacturing efforts.
He will report directly to Mohawk Flooring North America President Brian Carson.
Matt Kahny, the former wood and laminate business president, will lead Mohawk's expansion into the countertop market.
