Eleanore Mae Hickman
Eleanore Mae Hickman, who founded Hickman Lumber Company with her husband Harr in 1938, passed away Nov. 25. She was 100 years old.
Hickman and her husband ran the company together. She was the secretary and receptionist for many years before retiring in 1975.
In addition to Hickman Lumber Company, Hickman’s family owns Allegheny Mountain Hardwood Flooring and Hickman Timber Management Co.
The family recently were named “Icons of Pittsburgh” by Maniac Magazine.
