The basketball court inside the Student Recreation Center at Cal State Fullerton was flooded with an inch of standing water after a main water line ruptured, according to The Orange County Register.
The break happened to an exposed pipe in the ceiling, and Capt. Scot Willey of the Cal State Fullerton Police Department told the OCR he thinks someone was hanging off of the pipe, causing it to fail.
The floor was mopped and fans were brought in to try and dry the flooring. Repairs will be financed through insurance and the university’s reserve funds.
