A machine like this isn’t for use on the job site—that’s what Nathan Dailey, operations director of Pure Floors Inc. (Portland, Ore.), thought upon first sight of a gleaming vintage Clarke Super 7 edger. “I bought this sight unseen from an older gentleman thinking I was going to be able to put it into service. It is more of a collector’s item really,” he says, adding that he thinks it may have been used only once.
He believes it’s from the 1960s. He hasn’t tried to turn it on yet, and the grease inside is stiff.
He would like it to go to a collector and is asking $900.
