Real Antique Wood Plans Free Demonstration Day

The award-winning team at Real Antique Wood (Irvington, N.J.) will give tours of the sawmill where they manufacture hardwood flooring and other wood products from antique reclaimed barn wood on Oct. 21 from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. as part of its first annual Demonstration Day.

"Demonstration Day is something we've wanted to do for a long time,” said General Manager Anthony Saraceno. "It gives us a chance to invite the community inside our mill to see some of the cool stuff we've been constructing from 100 percent reclaimed barn wood."

The event is free and open to industry professionals and the general public, and 10 percent of the total sales for the day will be donated to the St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison, N.J., to assist animals, including those impacted by the recent hurricanes.

A blacksmith, Lisa Lofdahl from LL Metalworks, will also be on site with a portable blacksmith forge.

Real Antique Wood became famous in the wood flooring industry when its live-edge black walnut stair installation went viral online. The company and its owners, Gary and Lisa Horvath, were also featured on CNBC’s Billion Dollar Buyer.
