Employee Dies After Being Struck by Roller at Flooring Plant

An employee of Mohawk Industries died after being struck by a roller inside the company’s Chatsworth, Ga., plant.

Roy Glenn Bass, 59, was rushed to the hospital after the accident Tuesday, March 20, where he died, according to the Times Free Press.

Mohawk released a statement saying that the cause of the incident remains unknown and that it would be cooperating fully with OSHA as it investigates.

“We are deeply saddened by Glenn’s passing,” VP of Human Resources Jerry Hendrix said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.”
