Mannington Mills (Salem, N.J.) donated 20,000 square feet of flooring to Habitat for Humanity ReStores in Greensboro, N.C., and Las Vegas.
The Greensboro Habitat location received 16,000 square feet of flooring that had been used for a marketing photo shoot by Mannington. The flooring, which included hardwood, “was like new but couldn’t be sold at retail because it had been temporarily used in the room set for the photo shoot,” the company said in a statement.
The company also donated 4,000 square feet of hardwood and other flooring to the Las Vegas Habitat ReStore. The flooring had been used by Mannington at its trade show booth at Surfaces.
“In Habitat ReStores, homeowners can purchase the flooring at a significant discount, with the proceeds going to this worthy cause,” said Betsy Amoroso, Mannington’s senior director of corporate communications, in a statement. “This also helps the environment by diverting flooring from landfills. It’s a win for everyone involved.”
