A number of representatives from the flooring industry are scheduled to speak at public hearings held by the U.S. Trade Representative regarding tariffs proposed on $200 billion worth of Chinese products, which includes hardwood and other flooring materials.
The hearings are taking place Aug. 20–24 and Aug. 27 at the U.S. International Trade Commission in Washington D.C.
Among the representatives of major flooring companies scheduled to testify are Timothy Baucom of Shaw Industries Group (Dalton, Ga.) and Brian Carson of Mohawk Industries (Calhoun, Ga.).
