Floor & Décor announced it will relocate its headquarters from Atlanta to Cobb County, Ga.
The move, announced by Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal Oct. 4, is part of an expansion plan that will create 500 administrative and customer service positions within the company.
“Floor & Décor was founded in Atlanta nearly 20 years ago, and we’re proud of the hundreds of high-quality jobs that we’ve created in Georgia. The state’s business-friendly environment and infrastructure make it the perfect place for us to support our stores and our customers,” CEO Tom Taylor said in a statement.
Floor & Décor currently has 95 warehouse-format stores in 26 states. Seven of its stores are located in Georgia.
In February, the company opened a 1.4 million square-foot distribution center in Savannah, Ga., which it said created an additional 30 jobs in the area.
