Home prices in August had an annual gain of 3.2%, according to S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Indices.
The price gains increased slightly compared with July, which had a year-over-year home price growth of 3.1%.
The 10-City Composite grew 1.5% year-over-year, and the 20-City Composite increased 2.0%.
Phoenix; Charlotte, N.C; and Tampa, Fla., had the highest year-over-year gains among the 20 cities, growing 6.3%, 4.5% and 4.3%.
