Home prices in September had an annual gain of 3.2%, according to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Indices.
The price gains are up from August, which had a year-over-year increase of 3.1%.
The 10-City Composite annual increase grew 1.5%, and the 20-City Composite grew 2.1%.
Phoenix, Charlotte, N.C., and Tampa, Fla., had the highest year-over-year home price increases among the 20 cities, growing 6.0%, 4.6% and 4.5%, respectively.
