DeWalt announced a safety recall for three of its miter saw models after determining the plastic rear guard assembly can break or shatter when struck, “exposing the saw blade and posing a laceration hazard.”
The recalled miter saw models affected include DeWalt Model DWS779, DWS780 and DHS790, designated DHS790AB or DHS790AT2 on the carton. Only saws with date codes 2019 04 through 2022 04 are affected, according to the company.
Owners of the affected miter saws are encouraged to stop using it immediately and contact the company for a free repair kit.
