Editor's note: The volunteer team has completed its fundraising goals and is no longer accepting donations. Those who still wish to help the victims of Hurricane Helene can donate to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund here.
In the wake of the disaster left by Hurricane Helene this weekend, Upstate Flooring Designs Owner Kristopher Jeter has organized emergency relief for those affected in western North Carolina.
Jeter and other volunteers have assembled over 30 helicopters to deliver water and emergency medical supplies to hurricane victims.
To help with his relief efforts, Jeter is seeking donations to buy pallets of water for victims. Jeter told WFB each pallet of water costs about $330.
Additionally, if people want to donate money for emergency supplies, Jeter encouraged people to donate to the Carolina Emergency Response Team, which is working to rescue and provide medical aid to those stranded.
Jeter told WFB all donations will be publicly disclosed via his Facebook so people can see their money is being put toward emergency supplies.
Upstate Flooring Designs is a Greer, S.C.-based hardwood flooring installation and retail company. Jeter has owned and operated the business for the last eight years.
