Tom Sullivan, the founder of Lumber Liquidators (Toano, Va.) who left the company on Dec. 31, formed Surplus Flooring Warehouse and Robusto Floors in Florida in February, according to Seeking Alpha.
Then, in late March 2017, the Seeking Alpha report said, Sullivan’s company Cabinets to Go filed trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for both those flooring brands.
“[Surplus Flooring Warehouse] will likely be used as a retail outlet in connection with or to rebrand the 54 Cabinets to Go locations throughout the United States,” the report said. “[Robusto Floors] sounds like his new 'Bellawoodesque' brand name for the laminate and hardwood flooring that Mr. Sullivan intends to sell through the Cabinets to Go retail channel.”
