Using a third-hand cabinet jack to apply gentle pressure on the side walls while measuring for stair treads ensures a precise fit. I set the risers as tight as possible without damaging the walls, preventing any gaps from forming when the tread is installed. This technique ensures a clean, professional finish by keeping everything snug against the drywall.
